HOPE CEMETERY ORTHODOX SECTION— first hearing is Monday, November 30, 2015 at 6:30 pm
The Orthodox section of Hope Cemetery in Worcester is completely full, and the Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches has been asking the City of Worcester to expand the Orthodox section for quite some time. The City has scheduled two public hearings to deal with the cemetery master plan. The first public hearing is Monday, November 30, 2015 at 6:30 pm in the Esther Howland chamber in City Hall. If the Orthodox community wants the section expanded, it’s important for all to attend and express our unified desire to have more plots designated as Orthodox. For more information please contact Paul Swydan, CEOC President, at 508-523-2234 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOSTS NEEDED— WCUW ALBANIAN HOUR
Andrew Tanacea, longtime host of the Albanian hour on radio station WCUW, retires at the end of this year and we’re looking for volunteers to fill his place. This is a great opportunity for students, especially communications majors, to use this as an internship. Andrew will train the volunteers and offer help as needed, and the show can be recorded in advance or done live on Saturday mornings from 8:00— 10:00 am at the radio station on Main Street near Clark University. Please contact Andrew directly at 774-239-8787.
